Itâs right there. If you look hard enough you can sense it coming.
It defies the status quo.
It does not show up in consumer panels and cannot be focus grouped.
It ripples across our brain synapses.
Makes our hair stand on end.
It is our catalyst for change.
What is it? We call it Electric Swans. Hello, weâre Alice and we are always in a state of wander. Electric Swansâ˘Â disrupt current thinking. If this disruption is accepted, the ideas resonate and offer opportunities for others to innovate. In this respect, they quickly transform a team's capacity to innovate, both within itself and with others. Electric Swans can transform a company's capacity for innovation, they disrupt current thinking in such a way as to create huge opportunities for others to follow in their wake.Â
The progression from Black Swans to Green Swans, and now to Electric Swans marks a transformation in our understanding of systemic risks and opportunities, rooted in energetic principles. Black Swans, popularized by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, denote rare, unpredictable events with significant impacts.
As the world confronts climate change, Green Swans, introduced by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), highlight systemic climate-related financial risks and opportunities demanding urgent, transformative action toward sustainability.Â
As we begin to understand that we are living in an increasingly advanced electromagnetic dematerialized world, Electric Swans mark our moment in the evolution of innovation culture whereby the energetic-exchange of networks, talent, ideas and creativity will be the differentiators.Â
Alice on Electric Swans is a new way to think about innovation, introducing a provocative framework brought about by exponential changes driven by energetic shifts, challenging existing paradigms.Â
Energy is everything, everywhere all at onceâdid you see it coming?
Weâre not talking just about renewable energyâthis is an exponential change that taps the properties of frequency and electromagnetic fields as new technologies that will transform health and medicine, consumer goods, foods & beverages and more.
Regenerative? Think again. Think infinite possibilities.
Just as digital transformed business and society, energy is about to be our new tool for innovationâand a technology of its own. From electroceuticals to biostreaming, to biophotonic foods to the healing frequencies of our built environments, energetic technologies will advance our longevity and the health and security of the planet.Â
All around, behind, beside, and between usÂ
there are energies.Â
We are living in an energetic universe and our modern networked lives are dependent upon and immersed in an invisible sea of signals. We are going through exciting times, where change is the only constant. There is so much that is changing: the way we think about our lives, our impact, our future. We are becoming much more conscious and much more aware of how everything is energetically connectedâŚembodied, networked, empowered, organic and growing. We as innovators are looking for new technologies, new models, new pathways for the future where we can develop interesting, rich and meaningful propositions. What are the most interesting directions, changes and opportunities that will support a world where the energy that sustains our technology is no longer seen as separate from us or from our environment?
So, what does an Electric Swan look like?
Imagine biohacking autoimmune disease
Immunity has become an area of paramount interest of consumers in keeping with the trend towards a more preventive approach for protecting health. Surveys show immune support to be consumers' second most desired functional benefit, behind only general health and wellness. Autoimmune diseases affect approximately 8% of the population, 78% of whom are women. According to the Department of Health and Human Servicesâ Office of Womenâs Health, autoimmune disease and disorders ranked #1 in a top ten list of most popular health topics requested by callers to the National Womenâs Health Information Center. NIH estimates up to 23.5 million Americans have an AD. In comparison, cancer affects up to 9 million.Â
Electric Swan: Whole-body vibration that can help with autoimmune disorders
Whole-body vibration can be a useful means for relieving the symptoms of some autoimmune disorders. WBV therapy benefits people suffering from an autoimmune disease in several different ways. The high-frequency oscillations that pass through the body improve blood circulation, aid lymphatic drainage, reduce the overall body fat percentage, change the microbiome, increase muscle tone and promote osteogenesis (new bone formation). The final result is reduced body inflammation, which otherwise has been linked to a higher risk of developing an immune-mediated disorder.
Imagine synthetic melanin clothing
âFungal ghostsâ protect skin, fabric from toxins, radiation. Inspired by fungus, new form of synthetic melanin acts as natural detoxifier that heals and protects us from the radiation, sun, toxins, 5G and other stressors in our world of extremes.

Melanin could protect from toxins including nerve gas. Nathan Gianneschi and Kurt Lu of Northwestern University are studying melanin as part of research programs funded by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This has included looking at melanin as a dye for clothing that would also act as an absorbent for toxins in the environment, particularly nerve gas. They showed they could dye a military uniform black with synthetic melanin, and that it would absorb the nerve gas. Melanin also absorbs heavy metals and toxins. âAlthough it can act this way naturally, we have engineered it to optimize absorption of these toxic molecules with our synthetic version,â Gianneschi said.Â
Imagine leapfrogging CBDÂ
Studies suggests that the microbiome not only affects our mood but also how we think, feel, and behave. A team led by Dr John Cryan showed that many species of the gut microbiome promote the production of serotoninâthe chemical that makes us feel goodârepresenting a key link between gut microbes and mental wellbeing. The burgeoning field of nutritional psychiatry is finding there are many correlations between not only what you ingest, how you feel, and how you ultimately behave, but also the kinds of bacteria that live in your gut. In fact, only about 10% of the chemical Serotoninâthe âhappy hormoneââis actually made in the brain. This is the chemical that SSRI antidepressants are designed to amplify. The remaining 90% is made in the digestive tract⌠the gut. Gut microbes influence how we digest and metabolize the precursors of important neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which are linked to mental health function, motivation, and feelings of well-being.
Electronic Swan: Living Libations
Psychobiotics are defined as probiotics that confer mental health benefits to the host when consumed in a particular quantity through the interaction with commensal gut bacteria. Among their action mechanisms is the production of psychoactive compounds, such as gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is a primary neurotransmitter that is essential for many brain processes. The main objective pursued during this thesis project was to develop a novel functional probiotic fermented beverage.

To me it all comes down to language. We are approaching the maximum impact threshold, where our word choices will align so closely with reality as to effect the electric field in vitro. Therefore, we should first become comfortable living waves, where the strength of an idea comes from it's linguistic counterparts' component strengths, or actual meaning. Like waves on an ocean. The people who can generate waves with language will therefore only partially be the promise makers, whereas those of philosophy will become the true electric swans. Caged in, we may not feel enough to get the word out. The word you want is not lacking, except for a novel form of freedom. The cages stifle our ability to implement. They are built with words that cannot be bent.
