šĀ Alice books:Ā Tuning into Frequency: The invisible force that heals us and the planet
Our world is divided, conflict-torn, socially and ecologically unsustainable. We can not remain as we are, nor can we go back to the the conditions that are now behind us. We can only move forward, but not on the same path we have been following until now. We need to find a new direction for our individual and collective future.Ā
Hello, weāre Alice and we are always in a state of wander.Ā Ervin LĆ”szlĆ³, philosopher and systems scientist, twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Process spoke with us in 2002. He told us:Ā āHolos arrives if and when there is a real transformation of consciousness. It is the next age in a positive development. We need to work towards it because the age of Logos, which is the current age, is not sustainable as it is. Itās a mechanical, fragmented age. And Holos has to be a whole system culture change. A change from Logos to Holos."
From Logos to Holos
The Greek word logos means reason, logic.
The Greek word holos means entire or whole.
According to Dr.Ā LĆ”szlĆ³, human society has passed through three major stagesāMythos,Ā Theos and Logos and is on the verge of its next, and perhaps final stage, Holos. But the transition from our LogosĀ civilization to Holos, like those before it, is not automatic. There is a real possibility that our civilization may fail to make the leap, in which case it will almost certainlyĀ break down into global anarchy. But as pragmatic optimists, ALICE believes that humanity canĀ succeed and witness the birth of the first truly global civilization. We are already living in a global village, but still acting in very much tribal,Ā separate village terms. Our challenge is to move to a holistic mindset, where we can all live together on this planet. It will have many implications for our consciousness, for the way we perceive the world, for the way we relate to each other, for the values we hold. The big challenge is to open our mind and to pave the way towards this transformation if we are to avert major social, ecological,Ā political and economic problems that face theĀ world today.
We interrupt 2023 to bring you an idea whose time has come.
Below is an excerpt from a 2002 visit with Dr. Ervin LĆ”szlĆ³ā¦
"If we continue destroying the planet, pushing more people below the margins of survival the change will not come, I donāt think, by peaceful methods. Nor will it come by current political expediency. Or either by current business expediency, because the current logic is a short-term logic. It attacks the problems that surface to the extent where they create a crisis. But it doesnāt look forward, it doesnāt look ahead to the kind of problems that are on the horizon, which are not yet on a level where they create a major problem, a major crisis. Or actually some of them are already a major crisis in the world, like hunger for example, or health problems, or the water situation. But they are being ignored conveniently by the leadership, because itās not expedient to deal with it for the time being.
So that in all respectsĀ we need to open the mind, our collective, individual and collective mind, to the kind of world in which we live, which is an unsustainable world, and also open the mind to the possibility of creating the holos worldāwhich would be a sustainable and humane world, which can be created because the technologies are there, the human structures are there, the political-economic structures can be transformed.
Everything is basically available, it is possible to live well on this planet for maybe eight, nine billion people, provided we make best use of the resources that are available, provided we are not working against each other, but together, with each other, and can share the natural resources and make sure that our lifestyles arenāt all consumption patterns. And prevent other people from having access to the resources. So this is a cultural challenge. We have to change our mind, we have to live in a different way. Starting with our individual lifestyles, our consumption patterns, our political behaviors, the way we communicate to others. Because all these things are contagious. They can travel very fast over the world. Now the world, much of the world, has a very elevated idea of what it is to live well. Itās a dangerous, outmoded idea that would allow maybe one and a half to two billion people to live on this planet and the rest would be pushed below the margins of subsistence. If they would, more people would try to live like this, they couldnāt.Ā Our dominant culture is obsolete. There is another culture rising and we have to see that we promote cultural change, so that a new and sustainable culture evolves in this world.ā
Not Only Children, We Are Citizens of the Solar System
We need to revitalize some traditional ideas, of belonging to the Earth, of being one with humanity, with nature. And of thinking ourselves as children of the solar system, instead of just being this skin-and-clothes, ego-bound individuals, who only have their own good at heart and to whom everything else and everybody else is a stranger and of no direct concernāDr.Ā LĆ”szlĆ³
āIn all of traditional societies there has been a feeling of collectivity, of belongingness. I mean all viable societies. Now I think itās time to come back to this concept of belonging. To a larger community, the community of life on Earth. Which is itself part of the community of the solar system, part of the galaxy, part of the universe. So this is a cultural change, itās a change in consciousness. And that I think is the key in creating a future thatās livable. And itās enduring.ā
According to LĆ”szlĆ³, traditional indigenous societies were fully aware of nonmaterial connections and incorporated them into their daily life. āThe modern world, however, continues to dismiss and even deny these intangible linksātaking as real only that which is physically manifest or proved āscientifically.ā Consequently, our mainstream culture is spiritually impoverished, and the world we live in has become disenchanted.ā
In his book The Akashic Experience, LĆ”szlĆ³ covers the firsthand accounts of 20 leading authorities in fields such as psychiatry, physics, philosophy and anthropology, and their interactions with a cosmic memory field that can transmit information to people without having to go through the sensesāevidenced by cutting-edge science. Known as the Akashic field, their experience shows that there is a cosmic memory field that contains all informationāpast, present, and future. He posits that the āquantum vacuumā is the fundamental energy and information-carrying field.
In Science and the Akashic Field, he describes how such an informational field can explain why our universe is so improbably fine-tuned as to form galaxies and conscious life forms; and why evolution is an informed, not random, process.Ā āThese wave packets (the Akashic field), donāt only store information occurring in the present moment, they contain all information, every thought, every deed, every development that has ever happened since this universeās existence.ā
LĆ”szlĆ³ explained what we can do with this information fieldā¦
āSo, if we can learn to make use of this information, thereās tremendous advances that will be possible in our ability to know, to perceive, to communicate. Because information is carried in this field, regarding all things that exist in space and time. The question of reading it is rather like an internet. The internet has this hundreds of millions of sites on it. Information of staggering proportion is there. Now when you enter on it, you can pick out anything you want.. Same with your mind, we can pick out information, but what we are not doing so far is accessing this particular cosmic internet, because the western mindset is such that it believes that it doesnāt exist. And if a child has some intuition, some feelings about scenes or people or environments that he couldnāt have, that he or she couldnāt have experienced in their lifetime, then the parents tell him donāt be silly, youāre just imagining things.
When they have day dreams or night dreams, which bring us to other situations that we have not experienced in our lifetime, then we just dismiss them as idle fantasies, our brain working, without any external connection to it. So we basically think that nothing enters our brain or our mind than what goes through our senses. And that means that all of this spontaneous information through the cosmic internet, through this information field, is being filtered out. Now this is the case for western civilization. Itās not the case for traditional civilization, nor for eastern, highly evolved, sophisticated civilizations, which are relying very greatly on information of extra-sensorial origin. Traditional people, of course, are in contact with each other, they use it, very much, to orient themselves. Thereās a lot of anthropological evidence of this kind.
So now for the past 250, 300 years, in the western world we believe that nothing else exists, but what we can see and hear and touch. Or taste, or feel. And this impoverishes our consciousness, and our lives. So the implications are there, and through the latest theories in sciences, we could recognize that the world has a memory that could enrich our lives.ā
Imagination is a Field of Information
āArtists and children, of course, are remarkable for their ability to be able to access this informationā¦ what we call artistic intuition or inspiration. Or the creativity imagination of children has a very generous dose of information that is beyond the level of the senses. I believe also that the creation of great geniusāI certainly do not want to deprecate this great genius, but I donāt think itās a purely individual creationāitās the ability of the genius to pick up information.
We know for example in some extreme cases such as Mozart, extreme creativity, he tells us in his letters that his compositions come to him overnight, in his sleep. And they come complete. All he has to do the next morning is sit down and write it down. So our brain, our consciousness, is not really a creator of all the information that we get other than the input of our senses. But itās really, itās a receiver. Receiver and emitter. So itās what we would call in technological terms a transceiver.
Our brain is really a very sophisticated transceiver. We are constantly interacting with the world around us, with the whole cosmos around us. We need to enable our brain to operate in a way that this information penetrates to our waking consciousness.Ā So I think that the next development may well be, in which we are operating on a much broader wavelength, broadband brain, you might say.Ā
And in that case we should be able to have much more access than we have today. And we should be able to relate to each other and to nature in a much closer way because we recognize that we have this constant input, constant communication, so that we are not separated of, we donāt end at the limits of our skin, and our information doesnāt cease when we close our eyes and ears. That itās there constantly, basically. And all through our sleeping and waking states, the information is coming. The question is to allow it to penetrate to our everyday consciousness. So we can work with it.Ā So, we need to develop this kind of knowledge. But the evidence is there. And speaks very clearly. In altered states we have a broadband reception in our brain. Whereas in the ordinary western kind of mindset state, consciousness state, our band is rather narrow."
Frequency (as ALICE has explored previously), is that broadband brain. No doubt we are in the midst of a radical social and humanitarian transition, one in which we can exert our interdependent and collective forces to uplift our human potential. Real, transformative, and sustainable change will come only with shifts in human values and consciousness, and in the development of new ideas that will allow us to operate on this planet in fundamentally different ways. Real change will come only from us, the children of the solar system.
We feel your vibes Dr.Ā LĆ”szlĆ³, thank you.

š A Theory of Everything (Else)Ā
As soon as you talk about matter and energy, you have to write down the laws that govern matter and energy, but information seems to require fewer assumptions. In the age of computer revolution, it is not a big leap to say that everything can be expressed in information. Jacques VallƩe gives us an insight of the limits of physics and introduces us to the theory of information and how it is related to time and coincidences in our lives.
